The History of the Weyburn Review

Established in 1909, the Weyburn Review has had a long tradition of quality and excellence in the printing and publishing industry. We are nearly as old as the Weyburn community itself, which was founded in 1899.

Our business has grown considerably since those early days and has seen a lot of changes. The Review has been a family owned business since 1958, when Ernie Neufeld bought the newspaper and printing business from then owner E.G. Quick. Neufeld took over as Manager and Editor of the paper, and continued to run the business until 1987, when his son-in-law Darryl Ward was appointed as General Manager of the business and his daughter, Patricia Ward, Managing Editor. Ernie Neufeld has continued on as Associate Publisher.

As the Review moves into the 21st Century, so does our technology. We have a state of the art prepress and printing facility using the latest Macintosh super computers, digital colour copiers, and our main web press has just undergone a major renovation to better serve our customers' needs.
